Provincial leaders work with JICA - Japan

(Baonghean.vn) - On December 7, the Provincial People's Committee had a working session with JICA - Japan in Vietnam on the implementation of the project "Deploying and verifying the regional health information network system".

Comrade Hoang Viet Duong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the meeting.

The project "Implementation and verification of the regional health information network system" to improve the quality of health care in Vietnam has been implemented in Nghe An since November 2013. The project is implemented by Techno Project Japan and Link Global.

Overview of the working session.

After two years of implementation, the project has established a medical information network system connecting the Department of Health to hospitals, medical centers, commune and ward health stations. Specifically, the project has equipped servers and LAN devices for the following hospitals: Vinh Transport, Traditional Medicine, Thai An Hospital; and equipped laptops for 25 health stations and wards in Vinh city.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Viet Duong highly appreciated the effectiveness of the JICA IT application support project in Nghe An in improving the efficiency of medical examination and treatment in recent times.

The project also deploys software: Mame – Net to exchange information related to health issues, medical care, patient information across the entire system of medical stations in Vinh city; Cyber ​​Medisoft software to manage hospitals at Vinh Transport Hospital, Traditional Medicine Hospital, Thai An Hospital and 8 medical stations in the city.

The project also supports medical units in training medical staff to deploy application software and manage information network systems and exchange information between medical facilities effectively. The goal of the second phase of the project (implemented from January 2015 to September 2016) is to expand the application of medical software in 25 wards and communes in Vinh city.

Mr. Masuda - Deputy Chief Representative of JICA Office in Vietnam presented the implementation plan for the second phase of the project from now until September 2016.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Hoang Viet Duong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, highly appreciated the effectiveness of the project "Implementing and verifying the regional health information network system" in applying IT, improving management efficiency; contributing to gradually improving the quality of medical examination and treatment of the health system in Vinh city in recent times.

At the same time, we hope that JICA will continue to support the expansion of the application of medical management software in all wards and communes of the city; in order to further improve the quality of medical care and the efficiency of health insurance payment in medical facilities in the area in the coming time.
