Provincial leaders visit and give gifts on the occasion of New Year 2016

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of December 31, leaders of the Provincial People's Committee visited and presented gifts to a number of departments, branches, and units working on duty in the last days of 2015.

The delegation included comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee and representatives of relevant departments and branches.

The delegation visited and presented gifts to the following units: State Treasury, Tax Department, Customs Department and Department of Finance.

At the units visited, the provincial leaders asked about the work situation and presented flowers and gifts to the staff of the departments and branches to encourage them to work actively and effectively to serve the people, especially in the last days of 2015.

Ms. Hoang Thi Xuan - Director of the Provincial State Treasury reported on the work situation in 2015.

On behalf of the staff, Ms. Hoang Thi Xuan - Director of the Provincial State Treasury thanked the provincial leaders for their attention and reported to the delegation on the revenue and expenditure in 2015. Accordingly, the Treasury strictly implemented the revenue and expenditure according to regulations, while practicing thrift and anti-waste. During the year, it transacted with 3,920 units, managed 14,633 accounts, and had an operating turnover of 510 trillion VND, ensuring absolute safety of money and assets managed by the Treasury.

​Speaking at the ceremony, presenting flowers and gifts to the staff of the Provincial State Treasury, comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of the staff to excellently complete their tasks, especially in the last days of the year.

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Hoa - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Tax Department, briefly reported on the tax collection work in 2015 to the provincial leaders. In 2015, the unit exceeded the budget collection target assigned by the province, reaching nearly 111%. The Nghe An Department is assessed by Finance as one of the leading units in collecting gasoline tax; performing well in collecting budget debt; receiving a Certificate of Merit from the Ministry of Finance in anti-corruption work and a number of other achievements.

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong gave a congratulatory speech to the staff of the Provincial Tax Department. At the same time, he acknowledged and praised the results that the provincial Tax Department achieved in the past year.

Mr. Chu Quang Luan - Director of Nghe An Customs Department reported to the provincial leaders and delegation on the agency's work situation in 2015.

Provincial leaders listened to a quick report from the Customs Department leaders on import and export situation in 2015.

In 2015, the total number of import-export enterprises reached about 200 enterprises, and more than 20,000 customs declarations were made, nearly double that of 2014. Import-export turnover was 723 million USD; 122 cases of trade fraud were detected and handled, an increase of 22 cases compared to 2014. The amount of tax determined after customs clearance inspection reached nearly 21 billion VND; revenue from import-export activities reached nearly 1,007 billion VND, reaching 109% of the assigned plan.

Recognizing and praising the efforts of the Customs Department's staff, comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong hopes that the Customs Department will perform its tasks even better in 2016.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hai - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Finance briefly reported on the unit's operations.

In 2015, the Finance sector faced many difficulties in budget expenditures because the province had many major activities such as site clearance for many key projects, new rural construction, festivals, major events, etc. By the afternoon of December 31, budget revenue had reached and exceeded the estimate with 8,593 billion VND, of which domestic revenue reached 7,586 billion VND, land revenue 967 billion VND, lottery revenue 10,038 billion VND, etc.

Acknowledging and appreciating the efforts of the Department of Finance in the past year, comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong hopes that in 2016, the Department will continue to achieve and exceed the assigned targets and tasks.
