(Baonghean.vn) - On the evening of September 15th (corresponding to the 15th day of the 8th lunar month), the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs and the People's Committee of Nghi Loc district organized the "Mid-Autumn Festival Connecting Love" event for children in Nghi Hoa commune (Nghi Loc).
Attending the event were Comrade Le Minh Thong - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, along with representatives from the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Provincial Youth Union, the Provincial Women's Union, leaders of Nghi Loc district, and a large number of children from Nghi Hoa commune.

In Nghi Hoa commune, nearly half of the children are from Catholic families; many come from disadvantaged backgrounds. Many have achieved high results in district and provincial-level academic competitions, proving themselves worthy of being good children, excellent students, and exemplary grandchildren of Uncle Ho.

Also at the event, Comrade Le Minh Thong presented 30 gifts from the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, and Provincial Fatherland Front Committee to the children of Nghi Hoa commune. Nghi Loc district also donated 20 gifts to the children. In addition, representatives of poor but academically excellent students received valuable scholarships from the Provincial Children's Protection Fund and benevolent businesses.
