This support will enable local authorities to coordinate with relevant agencies to develop appropriate assistance plans, especially for poor and near-poor households and families entitled to preferential policies; and to mobilize social resources to help people repair and rebuild sturdy houses, improving their resilience to natural disasters. In addition, local authorities need to strengthen propaganda and guidance to help people proactively implement measures to prevent and mitigate natural disasters and minimize damage in the future.
