Fuel tanker overturns on National Highway 48.
(Baonghean.vn) - While trying to avoid a traffic collision with another vehicle, a fuel tanker overturned.
At 3:20 PM on December 30th, the Fire and Rescue Command Center of the Nghe An Provincial Police received a report of an accident involving an overturned gasoline tanker on National Highway 48E, in Nghia Khanh commune, Nghia Dan district.
According to initial information, while trying to avoid a traffic collision with another vehicle, a tanker truck carrying 9 cubic meters of gasoline, license plate 37C-442.97 (driven by Mr. VVM, born in 1996), overturned, causing gasoline to leak out.
The Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department directed Fire and Rescue Team No. 3 to quickly mobilize forces and equipment to the scene, implement measures to prevent the spread of fire and heat in the dangerous area, and protect the safety of the people.

Rescue forces pumped gasoline out of the tank, spread sand to protect the leak area from spreading, and deployed foam spraying teams ready to extinguish the fire and handle the incident according to procedure. Furthermore, they coordinated with the district police and local authorities to set up checkpoints to prevent people from entering the dangerous area; ensuring fire prevention, firefighting, and rescue operations at the scene.
To prevent unfortunate incidents from occurring, the Fire and Rescue Police force has requested households living near the accident area to completely cut off their electricity and temporarily relocate until the incident is fully resolved; furthermore, they advised people to be wary of gasoline fumes, proactively take preventive measures, and report any abnormalities to the authorities.
The truck driver was injured in the rollover accident and has been taken to the hospital for treatment.
