Pentagon halts delivery of dozens of Patriot and Stinger systems to Ukraine
Along with dozens of Patriot systems and Stinger missiles, the US stopped providing thousands of artillery shells, more than 100 Hellfire guided missiles and more than 250 GMLRS missiles to Ukraine.

According to TASS on July 2, NBC News quoted a source saying that the US Department of Defense suspended the supply of certain types of weapons to Ukraine, applying to dozens of interceptor missiles for the Patriot air defense system and Stinger shoulder-fired surface-to-air missiles.
NBC News also reported that the supply of thousands of artillery shells, more than 100 Hellfire guided missiles and more than 250 GMLRS missiles has also been “frozen.” US Defense Secretary Peter Hegseth has ordered an inspection of US arsenals and suspended deliveries to the government in Kyiv.
Earlier, Politico reported that the Pentagon had suspended the transfer of anti-aircraft missiles and precision-guided munitions to Ukraine. According to the publication, the decision to suspend the transfer was initiated by Undersecretary of Defense for Policy Elbridge Colby. Politico sources noted that the decision to suspend some of the aid agreed upon under the previous Joe Biden administration was made in early June, but only now has it come into effect.
On June 10, Minister Peter Hegseth announced that his country would cut spending on the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative - one of Washington's sources of arms supplies to Kiev.
In late June 2025, Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov said that some arms deliveries to Ukraine from the United States were still continuing, but some had stopped.
