Reburial ceremony of martyr Pham Van Huy
(Baonghean.vn) - On the occasion of the 77th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 32nd anniversary of the National Defense Day, on November 28, the Command of Coast Guard Region 1 coordinated with the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tien Thanh commune, Tien Lang district, Hai Phong city and the family to solemnly hold a memorial service and bring the remains of martyr Pham Van Huy from the people's cemetery to the Martyrs' Cemetery of Tien Thanh commune.
Martyr Pham Van Huy, born in 1979, was formerly a Professional Military Captain (QNCN), Reconnaissance Department Officer (Command of Coast Guard Region 1).
On June 20, 2015, while performing the task of fighting against smuggling and trade fraud at sea, comrade Pham Van Huy bravely and selflessly protected the lives and property of the people in the conditions of strong winds and waves and heroically sacrificed himself.
To recognize the heroic sacrifice of Captain Pham Van Huy for the cause of national construction and defense, on January 14, 2016, the Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam issued a decision to recognize Captain Pham Van Huy as a martyr.

In a solemn and sacred atmosphere, the delegates respectfully offered fresh wreaths, burned incense, and expressed their deep gratitude for the heroic sacrifice of martyr Pham Van Huy. Comrade Pham Van Huy's selfless example for duty has illuminated the noble image of a Coast Guard soldier on the front line of fighting against crime and violations at sea, for the peace of the country in general as well as continuing the tradition of "Loyalty - Determination to Win" of the army and people of the heroic Port City in particular.
