Le Cong Vinh will not return to Song Lam Nghe An.
Song Lam Nghe An Football Club announced that due to scheduling conflicts, Le Cong Vinh was unable to return to join the coaching staff at SLNA.
On the morning of November 12th, the Club's leadersLam River, Nghe AnIt has been announced that Le Cong Vinh will not return to his hometown team despite the invitation from Song Lam Nghe An.
Explaining the 2007 Vietnamese Golden Ball winner's refusal, a representative from Song Lam Nghe An stated that: Due to the tight timeframe, Cong Vinh was unable to arrange his family affairs and therefore could not accept the invitation to join the coaching staff of the Vinh-based team.

"This afternoon, the team's leadership called Vinh to invite him to become the Chairman of the Coaches' Council, overseeing professional management for the V-League SLNA team and also managing youth training."
Vinh himself is very honored to receive this invitation, but also needs time to think it over and arrange his work schedule.
After discussing with his family, due to the tight schedule, Vinh was unable to arrange his current work in Ho Chi Minh City and therefore could not accept the offer to return to SLNA to support the team. He hopes the management and SLNA fans will understand.
Vinh would like to send his best wishes to SLNA Club and express his sincere gratitude for their continued support. In the future, if he can arrange his schedule, Vinh hopes to continue contributing to his hometown team," Cong Vinh shared on his personal page.
Earlier, on the afternoon of December 11th, Song Lam Nghe An announced that it hadCoach Le Cong Vinh is invited.Regarding joining the club's coaching staff.
Since the 2007 Vietnamese Golden Ball winner has only recently completed his C-level coaching course, he is not yet qualified to officially become a head coach of V-League teams. Therefore, if he returns, Le Cong Vinh will hold the title of assistant head coach.
Later that same day, Song Lam Nghe An announced that Coach Nhu Thuat had been appointed as the club's head coach.
