Ceremony to receive the Certificate of recognition as a provincial historical relic of Khai Long Temple

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of February 3 (January 7), the People's Committee of Do Luong district and Tan Son commune held a ceremony to receive the Certificate of National Historical Relic of Khai Long Temple.

Khai Long Temple, Tan Son Commune is a famous spiritual and cultural work of Tan Son people and communes in the region. The temple was built hundreds of years ago to worship Khai Long Su Quan - Ngo Xuan Xi, a historical figure who contributed to the people and the country in the 10th century. Ngo Xuan Xi had great contributions in protecting the peaceful life of the people, so he was trusted and admired.

Therefore, after his death, the people built a temple to worship him. Khai Long Temple is a sacred temple and was granted many royal decrees by feudal dynasties. The temple was built on a massive scale, but due to the devastation of war, in 2014, the people of Tan Son commune contributed tens of billions of VND to rebuild the temple on the old land of the previous temple.

Khai Long Temple has a large scale with 3 buildings. The temple was chosen by the people to be in the position of "Sitting on the mountain, looking at the water" which is expected to bring good luck and fortune to the people in the village.

The temple is a place for spiritual and cultural activities of the people. Every year, the temple organizes ceremonies such as: Khai Ha ceremony, Thuong Nguyen ceremony, Trung Nguyen ceremony, Ha Nguyen ceremony and Thuong Tan ceremony. The biggest festival of Khai Long temple takes place from the 7th to the 9th of the first lunar month every year.

According to historical records, Khai Long Temple was the place where many historical events took place such as: organizing the sale of resistance bonds, organizing "popular education" classes and being the venue for the Duy Tan Commune Party Congress.

The ceremony to welcome the provincial historical and cultural relic Khai Long temple, Tan Son commune was held solemnly and respectfully, attracting a large number of people and tourists to participate.
