Ceremony to receive the Certificate recognizing Khai Long Temple as a provincial-level historical relic.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of February 3rd (the 7th day of the first lunar month), the People's Committee of Do Luong district and Tan Son commune held a ceremony to receive the Certificate recognizing Khai Long Temple as a National Historical Monument.
Khai Long Temple in Tan Son commune is a famous cultural and spiritual landmark for the people of Tan Son and surrounding communes. The temple was built hundreds of years ago to worship the deity Khai Long Su Quan – Ngo Xuan Xi, a historical figure who contributed greatly to the nation and its people in the 10th century. Ngo Xuan Xi played a significant role in protecting the peaceful lives of the people, earning their love and admiration.

Therefore, after his death, the people erected a temple to worship him. Khai Long Temple is a sacred temple and has received many imperial decrees from various feudal dynasties. The temple was built on a massive scale, but due to war damage, in 2014 the people of Tan Son commune contributed tens of billions of dong to rebuild the temple on its former site.
Khai Long Temple is a large temple with three buildings. The people chose a location "situated on a mountain overlooking the water," hoping it would bring good fortune and blessings to the villagers.

The temple serves as a center of spiritual and cultural activities for the people. Every year, the temple organizes ceremonies such as the Opening Ceremony, the First Lunar Month Ceremony, the Middle Lunar Month Ceremony, the Lower Lunar Month Ceremony, and the New Year Ceremony. The largest festival at Khai Long Temple takes place from the 7th to the 9th day of the first lunar month each year.
According to historical records, Khai Long Temple was the site of many historical events, such as the sale of resistance war bonds, the organization of "popular literacy" classes, and the venue for the Duy Tan Commune Party Congress.
The ceremony to officially recognize Khai Long Temple in Tan Son commune as a provincial-level historical and cultural relic was held solemnly and respectfully, attracting a large number of local people and tourists.
