Commemoration ceremony for the Holy Mother Lieu Hanh at Hong Son Temple (Vinh City)
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of April 11th (the 3rd day of the 3rd lunar month), at the Hong Son Temple National Historical Site, the People's Committee of Vinh City (Nghe An) organized the commemoration ceremony for the Holy Mother Lieu Hanh.
Attending the memorial ceremony were representatives from the Vinh city leadership and several departments and agencies.
According to Vietnamese folklore, the Holy Mother Lieu Hanh is one of the "Four Immortals" and has been granted numerous royal decrees by feudal dynasties from the Le to the Nguyen periods, honoring her as "Mother of the World - Mother of all people," and is worshipped and revered by people throughout the country.

In Vinh City, there are many relics dedicated to the Holy Mother, but due to time and the many vicissitudes of history, these relics have been severely damaged. With deep affection and strong faith, the people of the city have moved the entire system of statues from the Mother Goddess temple to Hong Son Temple for unified worship.

For many years now, Hong Son Temple has become a gathering place for people and tourists from all over to sincerely light incense, pray, and worship the Holy Mother Lieu Hanh.

The annual commemoration of the Holy Mother Lieu Hanh on the 3rd day of the 3rd lunar month at Hong Son Temple is a special spiritual and cultural activity of the people of Vinh City, a way to connect with the nation's roots, to honor the Mother - "the mother of all people" - and to pray for national peace and prosperity, and for every family to be well-fed and happy.

The commemoration of the Holy Mother is a meaningful activity in preserving and promoting traditional cultural values, aiming to build an advanced Vietnamese culture with a strong national identity.
