After a hiatus from singing, Le Hoang of The Men has built a solid business career, amassed considerable wealth, and enjoys a fulfilling family life with his wife and two children.
From the music stage to the business world
Following the success of their two live shows in Ho Chi Minh City and Quang Ninh, the band The Men, consisting of members Le Hoang and Tien Dung, made an impressive comeback. However, few people know that during the band's hiatus, Le Hoang shifted his focus to business and achieved considerable success.
Around 2016, when The Men's music career slowed down, Le Hoang focused on business. He founded a company specializing in cosmetics and real estate. Prior to that, since 2011, he had experience investing in recording studios and real estate.
The Covid-19 pandemic presented many challenges; his company faced a 30-50% drop in revenue and had to cut its workforce from 23 to just over 10 people. Despite this, he persevered to keep operations running.
A substantial fortune and investment philosophy.
In 2020, the Le Hoang family moved to their fifth house on Hoa Cau Street, Cau Kieu Ward, Ho Chi Minh City. This property has an area of 164m², consisting of a ground floor and five upper floors, with a total usable area of nearly 1,000m².
The value of this property has increased significantly over time. From an asking price of 22-26 billion VND in 2019, the house's value rose to 40 billion VND after just one year. Currently, experts estimate its value could range from 65-80 billion VND.
Le Hoang shared that he used to be passionate about cars, but an experience completely changed his investment perspective. He recounted buying a Porsche and an apartment for 3 billion VND each. After a year, the car lost 1 billion VND while the apartment generated a profit of over 1 billion VND. Since then, he decided to focus his investments on real estate.
A fulfilling home life and the principles of "keeping the flame" of marriage alive.
Besides his successful career, Le Hoang has a happy family with his wife, Viet Hue, and two sons. Despite their busy schedules, the couple always dedicates quality time to their family.
His family has a daily routine from 7 PM to 9:30 PM. During this time, all work is put aside to focus on teaching and playing with the children. The singer personally teaches his children math and Vietnamese, while English is handled by an American tutor.
A special habit of the couple is their late-night meal every Wednesday. This is an opportunity for them to share their concerns and strengthen their relationship. Le Hoang believes that to maintain a marriage, both partners need to reduce their egos, trust, and support each other.
Upon returning to music, Le Hoang felt more at ease because he no longer had financial pressures. He believes: "Artists are happiest when they can focus solely on music, without having to worry about ticket sales or profit and loss." Despite achieving many accomplishments, he remains humble, saying that he is only in the process of building a foundation for the future.
