The Cua Lo basket boat racing festival took place on the morning of April 19th.
According to information from Vinh City, a coracle boat race will take place on the morning of April 19th at Cua Lo beach.
This year's traditional boat race in Vinh City is being held on the opening day of the Cua Lo Tourism Festival, April 19, 2025. Each ward and commune will form two teams, each consisting of one team leader, one coach, one caregiver, and eight registered athletes (including four official athletes).
The opening ceremony and competition will take place at 7:00 AM on April 19, 2025, at Cua Lo Beach. The organizers will divide the competition into two rounds of races in the qualifying stages to advance to the finals.
In the competition, the organizers will provide composite boats with a diameter of 1.6m. Each boat will have 3 paddlers (2 competing paddlers, 1 reserve paddler). Competing teams must wear traditional costumes, obey the referee's instructions, stay on the designated course, and absolutely avoid collisions or obstructions during the competition.
The first prize for the racing team is 4 million VND, the second prize is 3 million VND, and the two third prizes are 2 million VND each.
Also on the evening of April 19th, the opening ceremony of the Cua Lo tourism season took place, activating the symbol marking the opening of the "Cua Lo Beach Tourism Festival 2025". Visitors will enjoy the art program "Cua Lo - Shining Dawn" and a spectacular fireworks display.
Following that, on the evening of April 26th, the National "Youth Dance" Festival took place at Binh Minh Square. On the evening of April 28th, there was a Vinh City OCOP product fair. On the evening of April 30th, the Vin WONDER Culinary Exchange Festival and art program was held.
