Ban Flower Festival 2025 - A unique cultural event of Dien Bien

The People's Committee of Dien Bien province has announced the plan to organize the 2025 Hoa Ban Festival, in conjunction with the 8th Dien Bien Province Culture, Sports and Tourism Festival. The event will take place from March 13 to 16 in Dien Bien Phu City and Dien Bien District.

The Ban Flower Festival is an annual event held in March – the time when the flowers bloom throughout the Northwest mountains. Not only honoring the beauty of the symbolic flower of the highlands, the festival is also an opportunity to promote the culture of ethnic groups, attracting domestic and foreign tourists.

The opening ceremony will take place at 7:30 p.m. on March 14 at 7/5 Square, Dien Bien Phu City. The program is expected to be broadcast live on Vietnam Television and some local channels.

Many attractive activities within the framework of Hoa Ban Festival 2025

The 2025 Hoa Ban Festival will include many cultural, sports and tourism activities imbued with the highland identity. The cultural part will include folk songs, dances and music of ethnic minorities.

Traditional sports activities are also organized with folk games such as throwing shuttlecocks, crossbow shooting, pounding rice cakes, tug of war, firecracker pulling and ammunition carrying competitions.

In addition, the area displaying and introducing the cultural space of the highlands and promoting typical tourism products of Dien Bien will also be a highlight to attract visitors to experience.

The Ban Flower Festival is not only an occasion to honor local culture but also contributes to tourism development, enhancing the image of Dien Bien on the Vietnam tourism map.
