Hoa Ban Festival 2025 - A unique cultural event of Dien Bien
The People's Committee of Dien Bien province has announced the plan to organize the 2025 Hoa Ban Festival, combined with the 8th Dien Bien Province Culture, Sports and Tourism Festival. The event will take place from March 13 to 16 in Dien Bien Phu city and Dien Bien district.
The Hoa Ban Festival is an annual event held in March – the time when Hoa Ban flowers bloom profusely throughout the mountains and forests of Northwest Vietnam. Besides celebrating the beauty of this symbolic flower of the highlands, the festival also serves as an opportunity to promote the culture of ethnic groups and attract domestic and international tourists.
The opening ceremony will take place at 7:30 PM on March 14th at 7/5 Square, Dien Bien Phu City. The program is expected to be broadcast live on Vietnam Television and several local channels.
Many exciting activities will be held within the framework of the Hoa Ban Festival 2025.
The 2025 Hoa Ban Festival will include many cultural, sports, and tourism activities that reflect the unique identity of the highlands. The cultural section will feature folk songs, folk dances, and folk music performances by ethnic minorities.
Traditional sporting activities were also organized, including folk games such as throwing the ball, archery, pounding sticky rice cakes, tug-of-war, cannon pulling, and ammunition carrying.
In addition, the exhibition area showcasing the highland culture and promoting Dien Bien's unique tourism products will also be a highlight attracting visitors to experience it.
The Hoa Ban Festival is not only an opportunity to honor local culture but also contributes to tourism development and enhances the image of Dien Bien on the Vietnamese tourism map.
