Funeral of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong on July 26
On the first day of the funeral, more than 1,560 domestic and international delegations came to pay their respects to General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong. Tens of thousands of people lined up until the night to pay their respects.

The passing of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong is a great loss and grief for the Party, State and people of Vietnam. The Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the National Assembly, the President, the Government and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front have decided to hold a State funeral for General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

This morning (July 26), the funeral of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong continued to be solemnly held simultaneously at the National Funeral Home No. 5 Tran Thanh Tong (Hanoi); Thong Nhat Hall (HCMC) and at his hometown in Lai Da village, Dong Hoi commune, Dong Anh district (Hanoi) from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.




On the afternoon of July 25, in Ho Chi Minh City, tens of thousands of people lined up to pay their respects to General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong at the funeral held at Thong Nhat Hall.








According to the Organizing Committee of the State Funeral of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on July 25, 1,565 delegations (with about 55,600 people), representing leaders of the Party, State, ministries, sectors, organizations, localities, units, people's armed forces, diplomatic delegations, representatives of international organizations and friends, and compatriots came to pay their respects, send wreaths, and express condolences to the family of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong at the National Funeral House, No. 5 Tran Thanh Tong (Hanoi), Thong Nhat Hall (Ho Chi Minh City) and General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong's hometown, Lai Da village, Dong Hoi commune, Dong Anh district, Hanoi city.
