Memorial service for General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong on July 26th.
On the first day of the memorial service, more than 1,560 domestic and international delegations came to pay their respects to General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong. Tens of thousands of people lined up until night to be able to pay their respects.

The passing of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong is a great sorrow and loss for the Party, the State, and the people of Vietnam. The Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the National Assembly, the President, the Government, and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front have decided to organize the funeral of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong with state funeral rites.

This morning (July 26), the memorial service for General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong continued to be solemnly held simultaneously at the National Funeral Home No. 5 Tran Thanh Tong (Hanoi); the Thong Nhat Hall (Ho Chi Minh City) and at his hometown, Lai Da village, Dong Hoi commune, Dong Anh district (Hanoi) from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM.




On the afternoon of July 25th, in Ho Chi Minh City, tens of thousands of people lined up to pay their respects to General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong at the memorial service held at the Reunification Hall.








According to the Organizing Committee of the State Funeral for General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM on July 25th, 1,565 delegations (with approximately 55,600 people), including leaders of the Party and State, ministries, departments, organizations, localities, units, the People's Armed Forces, diplomatic delegations, representatives of international organizations and friends, and compatriots, came to pay their respects, send wreaths, and offer condolences to the family of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong at the National Funeral Home, No. 5 Tran Thanh Tong (Hanoi), the Reunification Hall (Ho Chi Minh City), and the General Secretary's hometown, Lai Da village, Dong Hoi commune, Dong Anh district, Hanoi.
