(Baonghean.vn) - Due to a lack of money to buy drugs for personal use, Tuan took advantage of lunchtime to sneak into his neighbor's house and steal a phone, but was caught shortly afterward.

The suspect is Nguyen Xuan Tuan.

On the morning of April 26, the Criminal Investigation Agency of Nghi Loc District Police issued a decision to prosecute and detain Nguyen Xuan Tuan (born in 1991, residing in Dinh Hamlet, Nghi Yen Commune, Nghi Loc District) for the crime of theft.

To get money to buy drugs, on the afternoon of April 17th, Tuan wandered around Trung Son hamlet, Nghi Yen commune. At 12:30 PM, Tuan passed by Ms. Hoang Thi Giang's house and saw the door open. He immediately broke in and spotted an iPhone 5 worth 2.5 million VND on the bed.

Upon receiving a report of theft from Ms. Giang, the Nghi Loc District Police immediately dispatched forces to investigate and track down the perpetrator. After a thorough search for suspects and using professional investigative methods, on April 23rd, the police identified Nguyen Xuan Tuan as the culprit and proceeded to arrest him.

At the police station, Nguyen Xuan Tuan confessed to his crime. The case is currently under investigation by the authorities.

Nguyen Xuan Tuan is a drug addict with a prior conviction for illegal possession of narcotics and another for extortion, having been released from prison in September 2015.
