Lenovo ThinkPad E16 Gen 4 launched: Intel Wildcat Lake chip and impressive 120Hz display.
Lenovo's new 16-inch laptop features an Intel Wildcat Lake processor and RAM options up to 32GB, targeting business users who need stable performance at a reasonable price.
Lenovo has officially launched the ThinkPad E16 Gen 4, equipped with Intel Wildcat Lake processors, internationally. This follows the release of versions using AMD Ryzen AI 400 and Intel Panther Lake chips earlier this year. This new product line is positioned to replace the Gen 3 models launching in 2025, offering a balance between performance and price in the large-screen office laptop segment.

Power from the new Intel Wildcat Lake processor
The most significant highlight of the ThinkPad E16 Gen 4 is the introduction of the Intel Wildcat Lake chip. Although Lenovo quietly updated the information on the PSREF system, this change marks a significant architectural leap over its predecessor. Wildcat Lake is designed to optimize multitasking performance while maintaining efficient power consumption.
In some markets, users can choose from a basic version using an Intel Core 3 304 to a more powerful version with a Core 5 320. Notably, the Wildcat Lake variants are significantly more affordable than the high-end Panther Lake line, helping businesses save on equipment investment costs while still ensuring the necessary performance.

Flexible configuration options for businesses.
The ThinkPad E16 Gen 4 not only boasts an upgraded processor but also offers extensive hardware customization options. By default, it comes equipped with 8 GB of DDR5 RAM and a 256 GB SSD. However, users with higher demands can upgrade to a maximum of 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB of SSD storage, adequately handling large data processing tasks or basic graphics work.
The display system is also a major plus point on this generation. Besides the standard 60Hz screen with 45% NTSC color coverage, Lenovo offers a more premium 120Hz screen option. This screen not only provides smoother image motion but also achieves 100% sRGB color accuracy and a maximum brightness of 400 nits, making it ideal for demanding image-intensive tasks.
