Hanoi road closure schedule on October 15: Traffic flow details and alternative routes
Hanoi's road closure schedule on October 15th is from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., many central streets are restricted from traffic, vehicles are guided to alternative routes.
From October 15 to 17, the 18th Congress of the Hanoi Party Committee, term 2025-2030, will take place at the National Convention Center. To ensure traffic order and safety, the Hanoi City Police will deploy a traffic diversion plan and organize directions for all types of vehicles during the event.
Police forces temporarily banned the following routes:
Temporary ban period fromOctober 15, 2025 applies from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Temporarily ban trucks with a total designed weight of 1.5 tons or more, passenger cars with 16 seats or more; restrict other vehicles from operating on a number of routes including: Duy Tan, Pham Van Bach, Tran Thai Tong, Duong Dinh Nghe, Pham Hung (from Me Tri to Thang Long Boulevard).
Next is Tran Duy Hung Street, Do Duc Duc, Mieu Dam, Thang Long Boulevard service road (from Pham Hung to Provincial Road 70 overpass).
Alternative route October 15, 2025 Hanoi
During the period of road closure and vehicle restriction, Hanoi City Police organize directions for vehicles as follows:
Direction from Thang Long Bridge to Thang Long Avenue: follow the route Pham Van Dong - Ho Tung Mau - Cau Dien - National Highway 32 - Provincial Road 70 - Thang Long Avenue and vice versa.
Direction from Thang Long Bridge to Thanh Tri Bridge: follow the elevated Ring Road 3 and vice versa.
