The Ninh Binh Department of Tourism has announced the detailed operating schedule for Trang An, Bai Dinh, Tam Coc, and other key tourist attractions during the 2026 Lunar New Year holiday.

Ninh Binh, the ancient capital region boasting a rich system of heritage sites, is a top destination for tourists every spring. To prepare for the Lunar New Year holiday in 2026 (Year of the Horse), the Ninh Binh Department of Tourism has officially announced the opening and closing schedules of tourist areas and attractions throughout the province, helping visitors plan their itineraries accordingly.

Many tourist areas in Ninh Binh remain open throughout the Tet holiday to serve the needs of visitors.

Tourist attractions remain open throughout the Lunar New Year holiday.

Besides destinations with short holiday closures, many famous spiritual and ecological destinations in Ninh Binh will remain open throughout the Tet holiday to welcome visitors. Most notably, Bai Dinh Pagoda, a key cultural and spiritual destination, will not close during this period.

Additionally, the list of places open throughout the Tet holiday includes: Thung Nham Bird Garden, Mua Cave, Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, Hoa Lu Old Town, Cuc Phuong National Park, Trang An Golf Course, Xuan Thuy National Park, and Tam Chuc tourist area.

Trang An and Tam Coc - Bich Dong tour schedule

Two iconic tourist areas of Ninh Binh, Trang An and Tam Coc - Bich Dong, have adjusted their operating hours. Specifically, Trang An tourist area will be closed on February 16th and 17th (the 29th and 1st day of the Lunar New Year), and will reopen for normal operation from February 18th (the 2nd day of the Lunar New Year).

For the Tam Coc - Bich Dong tourist area, the visitor schedule is allocated according to the following time slots:

  • February 16th (29th day of the Lunar New Year): Open from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
  • February 17th (the first day of Lunar New Year): Open from 1 PM to 5 PM.
  • February 18th (the second day of Lunar New Year): Stable operation from 6 AM to 5 PM.

Besides major tourist attractions, the operating schedules of nature reserves and amusement parks also vary significantly. Notably, the newly emerging Thung Ui tourist area, with its picturesque setting reminiscent of ancient films, will officially open to visitors on February 17th (the first day of the Lunar New Year).

Below is the schedule for other destinations:

  • Van Long Lagoon and Tuyet Tinh Valley:Closed on January 29th and February 1st (Lunar New Year); reopening to customers from 9 AM on February 2nd (Lunar New Year).
  • Dinosaur Park:Closed from January 25th to February 1st (Lunar New Year); reopening on February 2nd (Lunar New Year).
  • Bear sanctuary:We will be closed for Tet from the 28th of the lunar month until the 3rd day of the new year; we will reopen to customers from the 4th day of Tet (February 20th).
  • Nui Ngam Eco-tourism Area:Accommodation and restaurants will be closed from January 25th to February 1st (Lunar New Year); tourist attractions will be closed on January 29th and February 1st, and will reopen on February 2nd (Lunar New Year).

Ninh Binh currently boasts 5,071 inventoried historical sites, of which 1,106 have been officially classified.
