Lunar New Year holiday schedule for students in Hue City in 2026.

The Hue City Department of Education and Training has agreed on the Lunar New Year holiday schedule for students in the city in 2026 (Year of the Horse), with an extended holiday period.9 consecutive days.

Accordingly, based on Notice No. 369/TB-UBND dated October 21, 2025, of the People's Committee of Hue City regarding the Lunar New Year and National Day holidays in 2026, and Official Letter No. 19068/UBND-GD dated December 27, 2025, regarding the holiday schedule for students on the 2026 Gregorian New Year and Lunar New Year, the Department of Education and Training of Hue City has decided on the Lunar New Year holiday schedule applicable to educational institutions in the city.

Specifically,Students at preschools, primary and secondary schools, continuing education centers, and vocational training centers in Hue City will have their Tet holiday break from February 14th, 2026 to February 22nd, 2026., corresponding fromFrom the 27th day of the 12th lunar month of the Year of the Snake (1945) to the end of the 6th day of the 1st lunar month of the Year of the Horse (1946).After the holiday, students will return to school to study according to the approved school year plan.

The early announcement of the Lunar New Year holiday schedule for the Year of the Horse 2026 helps schools proactively develop teaching plans and organize activities before and after the holiday; it also facilitates parents and students in arranging time for rest, family reunions, and travel during the peak holiday season.

The Hue City Department of Education and Training also requested that educational units and institutions promptly inform teachers, students, and parents about the Tet holiday schedule; proactively develop plans to ensure the safety of schools and facilities during the holiday; and quickly stabilize teaching and learning routines immediately after the 2026 Lunar New Year holiday.
