The Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City has announced the schedule for the 2026 aptitude test, consisting of two sessions in April and May, maintaining the same test structure and expanding to 15 testing locations.

The Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM) has announced the schedule for the 2026 aptitude test, with two testing periods taking place in early April and late May. Candidates can register for the first period from January 24th to February 23rd, 2026, and for the second period from April 18th to April 25th, 2026.
The exam registration form is sent out about two weeks before the exam date, allowing candidates ample time to prepare.

The first round of exams will take place on April 5, 2026, and will be graded from April 6 to 15, 2026, with results announced on April 17. The second round of exams will be held on May 24, 2026, graded from May 25 to June 5, 2026, and results announced on June 6.
The exam was held simultaneously in 15 provinces and cities from Ho Chi Minh City to Ca Mau to facilitate candidates nationwide.
The exam structure will remain unchanged in 2026.
This year's exam continues to consist of 120 multiple-choice questions with a time limit of 150 minutes. The exam structure comprises three parts:
Logic: Analyzing data and solving problems with 30 questions;
Using both Vietnamese and English, this exercise contains 60 sentences.
The Mathematics section consists of 30 questions.
Each question has a different weighting depending on its difficulty level, ensuring clear differentiation among candidates.
The 2025 exam attracted over 152,800 candidates with more than 223,000 entries, and was used by over 110 universities for admissions. The score distribution was assessed as near normal, with an average score of 662.78 and the highest score being 1,122/1,200.
This result shows that the exam has good discriminatory power, laying the foundation for the 2026 exam to continue operating stably.
