The pension payment schedule for the Lunar New Year 2026 has been adjusted, allowing for a lump-sum payment of three months, including December 2025, January and February 2026, within the December 2025 payment period.
Scope of application: The three-month lump-sum pension payment schedule is intended to support people during the Lunar New Year.
According to Resolution 380/NQ-CP of 2025, the schedule for paying pensions and social insurance benefits during the Lunar New Year 2026 will be adjusted to include payments for three months at once, aiming to ensure social security and support workers and beneficiaries in areas severely affected by storms and floods in 2025.
The new pension payment schedule applies to people, workers, and vulnerable groups in the Central and Central Highlands regions affected by typhoons No. 12 and 13 and floods in October-November 2025, including Ha Tinh, Quang Tri, Hue, Da Nang, Quang Ngai, Khanh Hoa, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, and Lam Dong, with the policy implementation period extending until December 31, 2025.
Regarding the pension payment schedule, the Ministry of Finance is tasked with directing the Vietnam Social Security to make a lump-sum payment of three months' pensions and social insurance benefits, covering December 2025, January and February 2026, during the December 2025 payment period for beneficiaries in the four provinces of Dak Lak, Gia Lai, Khanh Hoa, and Lam Dong, helping people proactively manage their finances before the 2026 Lunar New Year.
Along with adjusting pension payment schedules, social insurance agencies are required to expedite the issuance and renewal of health insurance cards and resolve obstacles in medical examination and treatment procedures, ensuring that health insurance participants in flood-affected areas have full access to healthcare benefits in the latter part of the year.
