Preview of episode 17 of the series "The Lone Path".

Hong and Khuong approach Diem (Viet Hoa), Tan's (Duy Nam) girlfriend, by pretending to drop a bracelet into her bag. Hong says, "Excuse me, I accidentally dropped the bracelet in your bag." Diem, confused, replies, "There's no bracelet. My necklace is broken, what are you going to do about it?" Seeing this, Hong offers to buy Diem a new necklace as an excuse to approach her.

Later, Hong and Khuong unexpectedly ran into Tan (Duy Nam) in a bar. Tan confronted Khuong: "Are you messing with my girlfriend? You're in my territory, do you think you can cause trouble here? Who do you think you are?" Khuong defiantly replied: "I'm your father." Khuong's arrogant attitude angered Tan. Tan immediately started a livestream and threatened to "deal with" Khuong. He said: "Brothers, if this bastard bumps into Tan, he'll be lying motionless in this bar in just three seconds."

In another development, Long discovers he's being followed while working on a secret operation in May village. His boss analyzes the situation: "I think if you want to execute your plan, you need to be more proactive." Long reports: "I understand. I've discovered someone is following me, and it's someone from within the organization."

"The Lone Path" tells the story of Hong, an unfortunate child who lost both parents and his only remaining relative, as he seeks justice for his family. After this great tragedy, Hong becomes a homeless wanderer and is taken in by Mrs. Moc, the second wife of Le Toan, a former gangster who has since retired. Toan trusts Hong and chooses him to manage the Le family's business empire.

While investigating the cause of his parents' deaths, Hong suspects Mr. Toan is connected to three dangerous drug lords. Hong is drawn into a battle between gratitude and suspicion, between good and evil, as he continues his search for the truth.

While Hong was tracking the drug lords, he was unaware that all his actions, as well as those of his criminal group, were under the surveillance of the police. Lieutenant Colonel Long, the head of the drug investigation department, had been transferred from the province to serve as deputy to Phung, the district police chief; he was also Long's long-time friend.

Long realized Hong was a crucial element in the investigation and decided to use her as part of his crime-solving strategy. Long moved closer to the "kingpins" and the secret drug bunker. As they delved deeper into their goal, Long and Hong discovered that behind the large shipments, the crimes, and the financial gains lay a "history" of "hatred" and "gratitude," where "friendship" turned into "hostility" between people who once considered each other brothers and comrades on the same front...

The film centers around Hong, a victim of crime, exposing the conspiracy of those who, for money, spread "white death" (heroin) throughout society. The film helps viewers better understand the police force – those who silently sacrifice themselves, facing dangers to protect the peace of the nation.
