Summary of episode 5 of the series "Evil Mother, Angel Father"
In episode 5 of the series "Evil Mother, Angel Father," Thang (Minh Hang) expresses her anxiety when confiding in her husband about preparing their daughter for first grade. Thang realizes that the couple lacks knowledge about education, while she sets a goal for Tram Anh to attend SS school and is determined that they both must try their best.
Thắng sought out Huy, her former classmate and now the vice principal of a national standard primary school. She woke up early to jog in the park near Huy's house, hoping to get his advice. Thắng shared that she was confused about choosing between an international school and a public school, while her husband's family only wanted their child to be happy and healthy.
Hearing this, Huy immediately objected, talking about how "other people's children" learn all sorts of things, from core subjects to skills like swimming, singing, dancing, horseback riding, rowing... However, seeing how worried Thang was, Huy switched to comforting him. He said that even though Tram Anh started from scratch, she could still "make up for it from scratch."

Loc, Thang's husband, went to Huy to warn him to stay away from his wife. However, Huy showed no respect and even challenged him. When a fight broke out, Huy hit Loc, causing scratches on his arms and legs. Upon returning home, Loc lied to his wife, saying he had fought with a phone thief.

The next morning, Thang told Loc about his meeting with Huy and his plan to "remove number 1." Although he disagreed with his wife's parenting style, Loc always let her have her own decision.

At the company, Emma told Thang about a cognitive test for children preparing for first grade. Immediately, Thang took Tram Anh to the test. But while the other children completed the test quickly, Tram Anh was slow and frequently made mistakes. On the way home, Thang drove in disappointment and frustration.

The next day, Thang decided to get his child's fingerprints analyzed after hearing a colleague's suggestion. During a family meeting about school selection, Thang stood up to express his opinion, but no one agreed, causing everyone to eventually "give up" and abandon the debate.

One day, Tram Anh went to the supermarket with her mother. While Thang was busy paying, Tram Anh took the packet of cookies her mother had bought to share with two underprivileged children. When they got home and Thang noticed the cookies were missing, he thought the two children had stolen them, but Tram Anh confessed that she had shared them with others.

Hearing this, Thang was surprised and moved, hugging his daughter. However, Tram Anh confided that she missed her grandmother and wanted to go back to her paternal grandparents' house.

That evening, after their child had fallen asleep, Thang confided in her husband. She admitted that although she had insisted on gaining custody of their child, the closer she got to him, the less she understood him. "I'm afraid that one day he won't need me anymore and will only need his grandmother," Thang said, tears welling up in her eyes.

The film "Evil Mother, Angel Father" is a story revolving around family issues and child rearing, starring Minh Hang as Tat Thang, the wife of Tan Loc (Huy Anh).
Their family life is strained because their daughter, Tram Anh (Ngan Chi), is stubborn and dislikes studying. Tat Thang, wanting his daughter to get a good education and attend a prestigious school, adopts a strict parenting style; however, this creates tension in both his marriage and his relationship with his daughter.
The appearance of Gia Han (Jun Vu), Tan Loc's ex-girlfriend, further complicates the situation, pushing Tat Thang to decide to divorce her husband, whom she considers weak.
Meanwhile, Tram Anh witnesses family conflicts and decides to leave home, causing panic within the family.
The film "Evil Mom, Angel Dad" is not only a story about the tensions in raising children, but also offers lessons about family relationships, especially how to cope with the difficulties of parenting.
Director Vu Ngoc Dang drew inspiration from the book "Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother" to create this story, reflecting situations that viewers can easily recognize in real life, thereby conveying messages about family relationships, misunderstandings, and challenges in marriage.
