Summary of the movie Evil Mother, Angel Father episode 6

In episode 6 of the movie Evil Mother, Angel Father, Thang (Minh Hang) encourages her husband - Loc - to strive to be promoted to Department Head. However, Loc refuses because he does not want to be a manager because he sees his wife being a manager is too hard.

In another development, Emma suddenly called Thang to inform him that Tuong Anh – Emma’s friend at SS International School – was about to go to the airport. Emma asked Thang to take Tram Anh to meet Tuong Anh to get help with the entrance exam.

After contacting and testing, Tuong Anh put Tram Anh on the waiting list for admission. Although Tram Anh was very cute, she did not know how to add and subtract, nor was she fluent in foreign languages. When talking privately with Emma, ​​Tuong Anh commented that Tram Anh was only suitable to study at a normal school, not a prestigious international school like SS.

The biometric results showed that Tram Anh had no special talents. Thang was sad and disappointed, blaming himself for giving birth to a “dove” – an “eagle”. Thang accidentally complained about this to his husband, and little Tram Anh heard. Tram Anh was very sad because she was a “dove” and her mother would not love her. However, Loc’s father comforted his daughter that doves are birds that symbolize peace and are loved by everyone.

After many days of researching educational options for Tram Anh, Thang summoned her husband’s entire family to her parents-in-law’s house. She declared her determination to send Tram Anh to SS International School, even though the tuition fee was over 400 million VND/year. Her sister-in-law immediately objected, asking: “Where will I get the money to send my child to school?”

Thang shared her childhood story: from a poor child, thanks to her father's will and determination, she became the deputy director of a large company. She said that on the first day of first grade, her father cycled 10km to take her to the best school in the district. However, Thang's father-in-law did not agree with her approach. He believed that investing in education is a long-term journey, not just focusing on the first 1-2 years.

Despite her husband's family's objections, Thang decided to sell her house to get money to send her child to SS school. She compared this to her father selling his only pair of shoes to invest in his child's education.

When he got home, Thang apologized to his husband for deciding to sell the house without discussing it first. Loc was upset: “You seem to be standing outside my fight. Tram Anh is also your child, right?”

Thang refused to give in and blamed her husband for not taking care of the child, comparing him to Huy Coi, who had always prepared everything for the child since birth. “If you can’t take care of the child, you are guilty of it!”

Loc was silent, not wanting to argue. He quietly went into the bedroom with his daughter. However, because he loved his wife, Loc was only angry for a moment, then returned to the bedroom, hugged his wife, and agreed to her wishes. He said that as long as his wife did not stress out with their daughter, he was willing to support her.

Seeing Thang's determination, her mother-in-law sighed and thought. Confiding in her husband, she shared that because she did not have much money to support Thang in buying a house before, she now had no right to stop her from selling the house. However, she was worried about her son, feeling that Loc had no say in the family.

She suddenly remembered Gia Han – Loc’s ex-lover – and wished that they had not broken up that day.
