The opening ceremony of the 2025 SEA Games will take place at 7:00 PM on December 9th. The opening ceremony will be broadcast live on VTV2 and VTV6, On Sports, and THVL4.

What was special about the opening ceremony of the 33rd SEA Games?

The opening ceremony of the 33rd SEA Games will take place at 7:00 PM tonight, December 9th, at the Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. With the theme "We Are One," the host country aims for a large-scale artistic program, combining traditional cultural beauty with modern stage technology to create an impressive opening for the Games.

The program, as presented, consists of five main acts revolving around the journey of rediscovering the origins of the SEA Games, evoking a competitive spirit, celebrating cultural diversity in the ASEAN region, and sending a greeting of friendship.

The message of Southeast Asian unity is conveyed throughout the music, art, and elaborately staged performances.

During the parade, 11 sports delegations with approximately 500 athletes will enter the stadium in order, starting with Brunei and ending with the host country Thailand.

The Vietnamese sports delegation participating in the 33rd SEA Games consists of 1,165 members, competing in 47 out of 50 sports. At the opening ceremony, two athletes, Le Thanh Thuy of the volleyball team and Le Minh Thuan of the karate team, had the honor of carrying the flag, representing the determination and aspirations of Vietnamese sports in the regional arena.
