The parade will showcase hundreds of aircraft and a variety of previously undisclosed high-tech weapons. Precision-guided missiles capable of traveling five times the speed of sound, anti-ship missiles, and hypersonic weapons are expected to be a central highlight, demonstrating the expansion of China's arsenal.
The entire program consists of 45 formations, organized according to real-life combat scenarios.
The groups include: land operations, sea operations, air defense, missile defense, information warfare, unmanned warfare, logistical support, and strategic attack. Many units are equipped with advanced weaponry, including key national weapons.
The air force will demonstrate system modules, including early warning aircraft, fighter jets, bombers, and transport aircraft.
These are most of the main fighter aircraft currently in service with the People's Liberation Army (PLA) of China.
While focusing on showcasing its military capabilities, Beijing is simultaneously projecting the image of a peace-loving nation. Some military personnel who have served in UN peacekeeping forces will also be present at the event.
