With Manchester United, Manchester City, and Arsenal all dropping points in the 35th round of the Premier League, Liverpool are determined to win their away match against Watford. A win would give Jurgen Klopp's team an advantage in the race for a top-four finish this season.
Emre Can became the hero for Liverpool when he scored with a spectacular overhead kick against Watford, securing a crucial victory for the Merseyside club. With these three points, "The Kop" maintain their third position in the Premier League table with 69 points, three points ahead of Manchester City and four points ahead of Manchester United, although they have played one more game.

Liverpool launched an attack right from the opening whistle. However, before they could score, the visitors suffered a setback when Philippe Coutinho was injured and had to leave the field in the 13th minute. He was replaced by Adam Lallana, who had been sidelined for over a month.
Having just returned to action, Lallana made his mark by unleashing a volley that hit the crossbar of the Watford goal in the first half. Furthermore, Klopp's players put intense pressure on the home team's half. This was understandable, given that Liverpool had won the first leg 6-1.
In injury time of the first half, Liverpool's attacking efforts paid off when Lucas Leiva delivered a lofted pass into the penalty area and Can executed a spectacular overhead kick to find the back of the net against Watford.
In the second half, Klopp's players continued to press and created several more opportunities, but James Milner, Divock Origi, and Daniel Sturridge all failed to convert their chances.
Nevertheless, a 1-0 victory was enough to keep Liverpool in the lead in the Premier League top-four race against Man City, Man United, and Arsenal.
