Twelve contenders revealed for the 2025/2026 National U19 Championship title.
After a fiercely contested qualifying round, the 12 best teams have officially secured their places in the finals of the National U19 Championship, which will take place from January 14, 2026.
On the afternoon of January 6th, the power map of Vietnamese youth football was clearly defined as the qualifying rounds of the 2025/26 National U19 Championship officially concluded. After intense competitions, the 12 most outstanding teams overcame 27 opponents to earn the right to participate in the biggest youth football event in the country.

The list of 12 teams that qualified for the final round includes leading forces in youth training today: The Cong Viettel I, PVF, PVF CAND, Hanoi, SLNA, Hong Linh Ha Tinh, HAGL, Ho Chi Minh City, SHB Da Nang, Dak Lak, Ho Chi Minh City Police and Dong Thap.
Notably, PVF CAND will be the host of this year's finals. Playing on home ground is a significant advantage for the police team in realizing their ambition to compete for the championship.

A rigorous screening process
According to the regulations of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), this year's qualifying round brings together 27 teams, divided into 5 groups. The teams play a double round-robin format to select the 5 group winners, 5 group runners-up, and the best third-placed team. However, the final 12 teams, including 6 group winners and 6 group runners-up, demonstrate the dominance of teams from prestigious training centers.
The period from December 14, 2025 to January 6, 2026 has witnessed the rise of traditional training academies such as SLNA, The Cong Viettel, and HAGL, alongside the stability of Hanoi and PVF. These are all teams with systematic investment, promising to create a final tournament with the highest professional quality.

Besides professional standards, the VFF also places special emphasis on the transparency and fairness of the tournament. Strict disciplinary measures have been applied throughout the qualifying rounds to eliminate negative practices and protect the core values of youth football.

The final round of the 2025/26 National U19 Football Championship will take place from January 14th to January 27th, 2026. With the participation of all the top teams, the tournament is not only a race for the championship title but also an opportunity for scouts to find promising talents for future national teams at various levels.
