The leadership team of the Vietnam U23 team has been revealed.
Coach Philippe Troussier selected a group of Vietnam U23 players to designate who would wear the captain's armband in matches.

According to the Football FederationIn Vietnam (VFF), head coach Philippe Troussier did not allow the U23 Vietnam team to elect their own captain and vice-captains, but instead selected a group of five players himself. This group is called the "captain group".
They are Phan Tuan Tai, Vu Tien Long, Quan Van Chuan, Luong Duy Cuong, and Vo Hoang Minh Khoa, all former students of Coach Troussier from the Vietnam U19 team and have joined the V.League this season. The first four, in particular, have proven their abilities at the U23 level in recent years during the SEA Games and U23 Asian Championship campaigns.
According to the VFF, depending on the match, Coach Troussier will give the captain's armband to one of these five players. This was in line with the first match of the Vietnam U23 team under Coach Troussier.The Frenchman's identity as the captain has yet to be determined.
The Vietnam U23 team has just finished their third training session in Doha (Qatar). The entire team is actively adapting to the new time zone, training conditions, and match schedule. Their first match will be played late at 10:45 PM (local time), which is 2:00 AM (Vietnam time), so drowsiness is unavoidable.
The training session on the evening of March 20th also marked the first time the Vietnam U23 team familiarized themselves with the ball used in the Doha Cup match. Goalkeeper Quan Van Chuan said this was also a new experience for him and his teammates.
"The ball in this league is faster, feels more natural, but is also unpredictable because it swerves. It's impossible to judge whether this is an advantage or not because everything has two sides. The whole team will always have to try their best," said the club's goalkeeper.Hanoi stated.
The Vietnam U23 team has one final training session on the evening of March 21st. In their opening match, Vietnam U23 will play Iraq U23 at 2:45 AM on March 23rd.
