The finalists for the 2026 Newspaper Cup youth category have been revealed.

Following exciting semi-final matches on the afternoon of June 13th, the 2026 Nghe An Newspaper and Radio & Television Cup Youth and Children's Football Tournament has determined the two best youth teams to compete in the final.

Before entering the first semi-final, both the Tam Hop Youth and Dong Hieu Youth teams displayed impressive form. Tam Hop secured a resounding 6-1 victory against Hung Nguyen Nam in the quarter-finals, while Dong Hieu overcame Duc Chau on penalties. Conversely, Dong Hieu opted for a defensive counter-attacking style of play, creating considerable difficulties for Tam Hop's defense. In the 21st minute, a surprise occurred when Viet Phu unleashed a powerful long-range shot from midfield, giving Dong Hieu a 1-0 lead. Trailing, Tam Hop pushed forward in search of an equalizer. In the second half, Tam Hop continued to control possession, but once again Dong Hieu scored. From a counter-attack on the right wing, Phan Duy made a bold move before unleashing a shot to give Dong Hieu a 2-1 lead. With nothing left to lose, Tam Hop pushed their entire team forward in attack. After a series of attempts, they finally found the equalizer in the 38th minute. Neither team could score any more goals in the remaining time, forcing a penalty shootout. From the penalty spot, the Tam Hop players showed greater composure and confidence. They successfully converted all five penalties to win 5-4, defeating Dong Hieu and securing their place in the Junior final. The joy of Tam Hop is also the sadness of the Dong Hieu players. Although they couldn't reach the final, the Dong Hieu team still left a beautiful impression with their dedicated playing style, along with convincing teamwork and attacks throughout the tournament. True to the nature of a semi-final match, both teams started cautiously, prioritizing defensive solidity in their own half. With nothing left to lose, Quan Thanh launched a full-scale attack in the final minutes of the match. Their efforts paid off in the 42nd minute when Dang Hoa capitalized on a central midfield combination to score, reducing the deficit to 1-2. Despite their best efforts in the remaining time, Quan Thanh could not find an equalizer. Ultimately, Quynh Anh Youth won 2-1, becoming the second team to reach the final in the Youth category. Sadness was evident on the faces of the Quan Thanh players after their elimination in the semi-finals.
