The Samsung Galaxy Tab S12+ has just appeared through Safety Korea certification, revealing a front design that maintains the selfie camera on the screen bezel. This tablet is expected to be equipped with the Dimensity 9500 chip built on a 3nm process.
Following the launch of the Galaxy Tab S11 series in September 2025, Samsung is preparing for its next generation of flagship tablets, the Galaxy Tab S12 series. Recently, the Galaxy Tab S12+ officially received Safety Korea certification, providing the first real-world look at the device's front design language.
The front design remains largely unchanged from its predecessor.
Based on images from certification agencies, Samsung appears to be maintaining its familiar design style for the Galaxy Tab S12+. Contrary to previous rumors about the use of a punch-hole camera design, the leaked images show that the selfie camera is still neatly placed within the bezel of the screen.
Data from the certification also confirms two main variants of this model. Specifically, the model number SM-X840 corresponds to the Wi-Fi version, while the SM-X846N is the 5G-enabled variant exclusive to the Korean market. Achieving safety certification in this country indicates that the product is ready for the next stages of commercialization.
Expected configuration: The rise of MediaTek 3nm chips
Previous leaks indicated that Samsung might make a major hardware change to the Galaxy Tab S12 series. Instead of using the traditional Snapdragon chip, the company might equip it with the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 – a powerful octa-core processor manufactured using an advanced 3nm process.
Besides the Plus version, the highest-end variant, the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra, has also revealed some impressive specifications. This device is said to have a large 14.6-inch screen and a battery capacity of up to 11,600 mAh, ensuring extended usage time for professional tasks.
