(Baonghean.vn) - The Lam River water level is rising to a record high, and the people of Hoa Lam fishing village (now Hoa Thuan hamlet), Hung Hoa commune, Vinh city, are living in fear and anxiety.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Xan said that her family and other households in Thuan Hoa hamlet have been here since 1973, and her life has been closely tied to the villagers. This year, the water level rose to a record high, flooding people's houses by a meter. The elderly and children were evacuated, while the healthy stayed behind to guard their houses.
