On March 26, Bao Loc City Police (Lam Dong) were taking statements from K'Boi (born in 1981, residing in Loc An commune, Bao Lam district) to clarify the act of property theft.

The leaders of Bao Loc City Police have directed the Criminal Police Team to coordinate with Loc Phat Ward Police to urgently investigate and clarify the case. Using professional measures, the Police screened and summoned K'Boi to work. Initially, this subject firmly denied the crime and did not admit to committing the above theft. K'Boi confessed that at around 4:00 p.m. on March 21, when he discovered that Mr. L's family was not home, he broke into the bedroom window and stole 5.4 taels of gold and 38.6 million VND. K'Boi hid the stolen property in the house, but dug a hole and buried the gold in the coffee garden.

On the afternoon of March 25, Bao Loc City Police coordinated with the People's Procuracy of the same level to search K'Boi's residence in B'Do village, Loc An commune, Bao Lam district, and confiscated all stolen property to return to the victim.
