Taking advantage of floods to traffic drugs
(Baonghean.vn) - Phuong took advantage of the time when Quy Hop district was flooded and the police force was helping people to buy and sell drugs but failed.
On the morning of August 18, Lieutenant Colonel Dinh Anh Dung - Head of Quy Hop District Police said that the unit had just successfully broken up the 818M drug case, arresting a subject with 154 grams of heroin.

Recently, Quy Hop District Police received many reports from people in Pha Be area, Cang village, Chau Dinh commune that there are often drug criminals.
After verifying the information, Quy Hop District Police established Project 818M to fight and destroy. The project team determined that because the area was flooded and the police force was being mobilized to help the people, the subject could take advantage of this time to transport drugs.
After more than 12 hours of ambush and staying up all night, at around 6:30 a.m. on August 18, the task force successfully captured Vi Van Phuong (born in 1959, residing in Chieng village, Tri Le commune, Que Phong district). Searching Phuong, the detectives discovered that he was hiding heroin in his pants pocket.

At the police station, Vi Van Phuong confessed to his crimes. The amount of heroin seized from Phuong was determined to weigh 153.950 grams.
Quy Hop District Police have issued a decision to prosecute and detain Vi Van Phuong for the act of "Illegal drug trafficking" to continue investigating and expanding the case.
