Recently, the Quy Hop District Police received numerous reports from the public in the Pha Be area, Cang village, Chau Dinh commune, regarding individuals frequently engaging in drug-related criminal activities.

After verifying the information, the Quy Hop District Police established Special Case 818M to combat and dismantle the operation. The special case team determined that, due to the ongoing flooding in the area and the fact that police forces were being mobilized to assist the people, the suspects might take advantage of this time to transport drugs.

After more than 12 hours of covert surveillance and sleepless nights, at approximately 6:30 AM on August 18th, the task force successfully apprehended Vi Văn Phương (born in 1959, residing in Chiêng village, Tri Lễ commune, Quế Phong district). A search of Phương's person revealed he was concealing heroin in his pants pocket.
