According to Malaysia's Oriental Daily, the 29-year-old female suspect was arrested today by Malaysian police in connection with the assassination of Kim Jong-nam, the half-brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. The suspect confessed to traveling to Malaysia with a female friend and four men. They told the two women they wanted to attack a passenger. The four men instructed the two women to spray water in Kim Jong-nam's face, with one man spraying and another holding his face.

According to police sources, after their successful abduction, the two girls left the scene in a taxi, and the four men split into two groups and also left the airport. The six met at a hotel in Salak Tinggi, Sepang district, Selangor state, about 55 km from the capital Kuala Lumpur.

A day after the crime, the suspect's friend and the four other young men said they had to go out and did not return. The female suspect told police that because she was unfamiliar with the roads in Malaysia and wanted to find her friend, she returned to the airport the next day and was arrested.

Malaysian police spokesman Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar said they arrested the female suspect based on security camera footage at the airport, and that she was alone at the time of the arrest. Police are searching for five other suspects who fled, according to Star.

Kim Jong-nam, 45, the half-brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, died en route to the hospital from Kuala Lumpur airport in Malaysia on February 13. Malaysian police are awaiting the results of an autopsy to determine the cause of death. Experts have put forward several theories about the reason for the North Korean leader's brother's death, ranging from assassination to cardiovascular disease.
