(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of October 29th, a solemn ceremony was held in Nam Dan town, Nam Dan district, to inaugurate the Memorial House of Phan Boi Chau within the Phan Boi Chau Memorial Site.
Attending the ceremony were members of the Provincial Party Committee: Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and Pham Thi Hong Toan - Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper.
Also attending were representatives from relevant departments and agencies, leaders of Nam Dan town and Nam Dan district, former students of Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School, the principals and students of Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School and Sao Nam High School, representatives of the descendants of Phan Boi Chau, and a large number of local people.

With the desire to pay tribute to the patriotic scholar and outstanding son of Nghe An province, generations of students from Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School have called for and contributed to the construction of a memorial house for Phan Boi Chau within the grounds of the Memorial Area.

With the support and encouragement from the provincial leadership, relevant ministries and departments, and especially the enthusiastic response from generations of students of Phan Boi Chau School, parents, teachers, and those who cherish Phan Boi Chau, after 18 months of launching the project and nearly 15 months since the groundbreaking ceremony, the Memorial House of the patriotic scholar Phan Boi Chau has been completed.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dinh Viet Hong praised the meaningful activity of former students of Phan school in paying tribute to and honoring the distinguished figure whom President Ho Chi Minh described as "a hero, a messenger, worthy of sacrificing himself for independence, revered by 20 million people under colonial rule."
The comrade expressed his hope that this commendable act would inspire and spread far and wide, and requested that relevant agencies take responsibility for protecting the site and continue to promote the value of the Phan Boi Chau Memorial Area, making it a spiritual destination for visitors from all over, and educating future generations about patriotic traditions.

Amidst the joyous celebrations of those present, the delegates cut the ribbon to inaugurate and hand over the Memorial House to the Provincial Management Board of Historical Sites and Scenic Spots. Earlier that morning, the 76th anniversary commemoration of the patriotic scholar Phan Bội Châu was also held at the historical site.

Now, the memorial site dedicated to him is even more solemn, fulfilling a long-held wish of ours and the people in the area." |
