Free English class of 'teacher Trang'

(Baonghean.vn) - With the desire to contribute a small part to her homeland, Nguyen Thi Huyen Trang spent her entire summer vacation opening a free English class in the mountainous commune of Bai Son (Do Luong - Nghe An).

Nguyen Thi Huyen Trang is currently a first-year student at Hanoi Foreign Trade University. Having been passionate about English since childhood, Trang has won many high prizes in English competitions, especially the first prize in the province in online English. During the summer vacation, Trang witnessed that the students in the commune still lacked everything to study. Worried about that thought, Trang decided to ask for support from the commune's youth union to open a free class right in her hometown.

When Trang shared her desire to open a free class in the commune, the Bai Son Commune Youth Union proactively contacted her to help her fulfill her wish. In order to maintain the class, Trang was supported by the commune Youth Union Executive Committee with a location, chalk, board, and desks. The class started from 7:00 to 9:00 a.m. To make teaching easier, Trang divided the class into 3 classes: basic, intermediate, and advanced. Trang spent most of her summer vacation teaching from Monday to Friday, each class had from 30 to 40 students.

To make the class effective, in addition to class time, Trang also prepares lesson plans. Although it is the first time standing on the podium, Trang is quite confident, agile and teaches very professionally. Almost all the students who come to study are very excited and happy. Thai Thi Phuong Thao in Huong Son hamlet, Bai Son commune, has been participating in the free class for 2 weeks now and said: "When I heard the commune announced that there was a free class, I asked my parents' permission to register. I found Ms. Trang very enthusiastic, her lectures are easy to understand, I hope she has a long summer vacation to teach us."

It is known that Trang is also an active volunteer of Hanoi Foreign Trade University. With her dynamism and enthusiasm, Trang hopes that her work will spread to many others. Nguyen Thi Huyen Trang shared: “Bai Son commune still has many difficulties, while people choose far away places to volunteer and help, I think I will return to my hometown to contribute. I hope everyone will also return to their hometown to do many good things, to help their hometown”.
