On the afternoon of July 24th, the authorities of Dai Dong commune (Nghe An province) coordinated with local people to successfully rescue 23 cows that were trapped on a sandbank in the Lam River due to rising floodwaters.

Rising floodwaters have cut off National Highway 48 again following the remnants of Typhoon No. 3.

National Highway 48, the section passing through Chau Binh, Quy Chau, and Chau Tien communes (formerly part of Quy Chau district), is deeply flooded, and all vehicles are prohibited from passing through.
