The 215th Tank Brigade commences training in 2024.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of March 1st, the 215th Tank Brigade - Armored Corps held its 2024 training commencement ceremony. Attending the ceremony was Major General Do Dinh Thanh - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Commander of the Armored Corps.
In 2024, the 215th Tank Brigade continued its innovation, focusing on improving the overall quality and combat strength of the revolutionary brigade. It concentrated on building a comprehensively strong unit that is "exemplary and outstanding," excelling in training, maintaining strict discipline, and successfully completing all assigned tasks.
With the theme for 2024 being "The year of fundamentally completing the adjustment of the force organization towards being lean, efficient, and strong," the Brigade focused on implementing the following key tasks: Training troops to proficiently use technical equipment in their inventory, especially new equipment; mastering specialized technical and tactical skills, and firmly grasping combined arms tactics; focusing on mobile and mobile training, practical training, night training, and training in defense against unmanned aerial vehicles; conducting tactical exercises with live ammunition for all 9 tank platoons of Tank Battalion 1, and conducting a comprehensive tactical exercise for the battalion.
During the 9-month training period, from March 1st to December 15th, 2024, the Brigade will promote democracy, uphold the spirit of solidarity, be proactive and creative, and overcome all difficulties to strive for 100% of training subjects to meet requirements. 100% of training officers will be trained according to their rank; 75% or more of platoon and company officers, and 80% of battalion and equivalent officers will achieve good or excellent training results, with 35% or more achieving excellent training results. At the ceremony, the Brigade launched the 2024 training emulation movement with the theme "Firm determination, excellent training, strict discipline, absolute safety"; and the peak emulation campaign "Following in the footsteps of the Dien Bien Phu soldiers - Striving to achieve 3 bests" to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024).
On this occasion, the 215th Tank Brigade received a Certificate of Commendation from the Commander of the Armored Corps for winning second place in the Brigade and School category in the 2024 Training Preparation Competition. The Brigade also awarded Certificates of Merit to 7 individuals and groups who achieved high results in the 2024 Training Deployment Sports Competition.
Following the training commencement ceremony, officers and soldiers of the 215th Tank Brigade performed 60 attack and defense maneuvers, 27 shovel-wielding movements, and various dances during group activities.
