(Baonghean.vn) - Currently, floodwaters on the rivers of Nghe An are continuing to recede slowly. However, the risk of flooding remains in the downstream districts of Do Luong, Hung Nguyen, and Nam Dan.
According to a report issued at 11:00 AM today (August 21st) by the North Central Meteorological and Hydrological Station, flood levels on rivers in Nghe An are receding. At 7:00 AM on August 21st, water levels on the Ca River at Dua were 21.55m (< Flood Level II: 0.95m) and at Nam Dan: 6.39m.
Forecast for the next 12-24 hours,Floodwaters on rivers in Nghe An continue to recede, while the lower reaches of the Ca River in Nam Dan are receding slowly and remain at high levels.
By this afternoon and tonight (August 21st), the water level on the Ca River at Dua will drop to 20.80m, 0.30m above the flood warning level; at Nam Dan it will drop to 6.00m, 0.60m above the flood warning level.
