On the afternoon of June 11th, the Criminal Police Department of Tay Ninh Provincial Police initiated a criminal case, indicted the suspects, and temporarily detained Nguyen Van Tam (born in 1997), Nguyen Ai Vi (born in 2002, both residing in An Giang), and Nguyen Thi Kieu Trang (born in 1994, residing in Hau Giang) for further investigation into the crimes of human trafficking and trafficking of persons under 16 years of age.

Previously, through monitoring online activities, the Criminal Police Department of Tay Ninh Provincial Police discovered a network luring Vietnamese people to Cambodia with promises of high-paying jobs, but in reality, they were selling victims into fraudulent companies owned by Chinese nationals for personal gain.

Upon receiving information that two women from Tay Ninh province were being prepared to be sold to Cambodia in the border area of An Phu district (An Giang province), the Criminal Police Department of Tay Ninh Provincial Police coordinated with the An Giang Provincial Police to intercept and rescue the victims. They subsequently arrested the key figures in the trafficking ring, including Tam, Vi, and Trang, and brought them back to Tay Ninh for investigation.

Through investigation, the police initially determined that Tam and Vi lived together as husband and wife in An Giang province. Two years ago, they went to Cambodia to run a fraudulent online game operation in areas managed by Chinese nationals.

Here, Tam and Vi met Trang. Trang told Tam and Vi to find people to refer to her so she could sell them to the company. Trang paid Tam and Vi 300 USD each. Enticed by the generous payment, Tam and Vi returned to Vietnam and used the Facebook account "Nguyen Tam" to advertise and promise app game development jobs with salaries ranging from 800 to 900 USD per month and no debt to the company, luring many Vietnamese people in need to contact them.

Using this tactic, Tâm, Vi, and Trang successfully trafficked 7 victims in the provinces of An Giang, Hau Giang, Binh Duong, Ho Chi Minh City, and Tay Ninh (including one victim under 16 years old in Tay Ninh province).
