Fraudulent land sales and embezzlement of billions of dong.
With the intention of defrauding and appropriating property, Cao Huu Dung provided false information about the transfer of land use rights to a local resident, then embezzled nearly 1 billion VND.
On the morning of January 18th, the Office of the Investigation Agency of the Hue City Police Department announced that it had issued a decision to initiate a criminal case, indict the suspect, and execute a temporary detention order against Cao Huu Dung (born in 1980, residing in Thuy Van Ward, Thuan Hoa District, Hue City) to investigate the act of "fraudulent appropriation of property".
Previously, with the intention of defrauding and appropriating property, Cao Huu Dung provided false information about the transfer of land use rights for a plot of land in Hue City to a local resident. All documents and information regarding the land that Dung claimed to have transferred to this person were fake.
Due to trust, the victim transferred nearly 1 billion VND to Dung. However, after receiving the money, Dung did not carry out the land transfer procedures as required but instead misappropriated the funds for personal use.
Upon receiving the report, the Hue City Police Department launched an investigation into Cao Huu Dung's fraudulent activities and proceeded to arrest him.
