Trafficking women from the same village to foreign countries.
On August 1st, the Criminal Police Department (Nghe An Provincial Police) initiated legal proceedings against two individuals, Luong Thi Mai (born in 1985) and Luong Van Son (born in 1964), both residing in Chieu Luu commune, Ky Son district, for the crime of "human trafficking".
According to the police investigation, in 2019, taking advantage of the difficult circumstances of a woman residing in Chieu Luu commune, Luong Thi Mai and Luong Van Son tricked her into being sold abroad with the promise that "she would get married there, and after about a year someone would bring her back" in exchange for 80 million VND.

Of that amount, Mai took 15 million dong, Son took 35 million dong, and only gave 30 million dong to the victim's family.
Through professional investigative methods, the Criminal Police Department (Nghe An Provincial Police) arrested Luong Van Son and Luong Thi Mai, successfully rescuing the woman who had been sold by these two individuals and reuniting her with her family.
