Woman arrested for cheating on 'red book' of more than 8 billion VND

Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Dung provided false information and created relationships to defraud more than 8 billion VND from applying for "red books".

The Investigation Police Agency of Binh Duong Province Police said that the unit has just issued a decision to prosecute the accused, execute an arrest warrant to temporarily detain and search the residence of Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Dung (born in 1971), residing in Di An City, Binh Duong Province to investigate the act of "Fraudulent appropriation of property".

According to the records, on May 20, Ms. TTM (residing in Binh Thang ward, Di An city) agreed and signed a service contract with Ms. Dung to apply for a Certificate of land use rights, house ownership rights and assets attached to land (red book) for Ms. M with an area of ​​200m2.2.

After signing the contract, Ms. Dung repeatedly promised and then extended the implementation time; at the same time, she provided false information, introducing herself as having connections so she could issue the certificate to Ms. M. During that time, Ms. Dung repeatedly asked Ms. M to transfer more than 8 billion VND to take care of the work, but then failed to do so.

The police determined that Ms. Dung's behavior showed signs of fraud and property appropriation, so they prosecuted and temporarily detained her for investigation.
