Woman arrested for defrauding people of over 8 billion VND by issuing fake land ownership certificates.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Dung provided false information and fabricated relationships to defraud over 8 billion VND through the process of obtaining land ownership certificates.
The Investigation Police Department of Binh Duong province announced that it has issued a decision to prosecute, arrest, and search the residence of Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Dung (born in 1971), residing in Di An City, Binh Duong province, to investigate her alleged criminal offense.Fraudulent appropriation of property".
According to the records, on May 20th, Ms. TTM (residing in Binh Thang Ward, Di An City) agreed to and signed a service contract with Ms. Dung regarding the application for a Certificate of Land Use Rights, Ownership of Houses and Assets Attached to Land (land title deed) for Ms. M, covering an area of 200m².2.
After signing the contract, Ms. Dung repeatedly made promises and delayed the implementation; at the same time, she provided false information, claiming to have connections that could help Ms. M obtain the land title. During that time, Ms. Dung repeatedly requested Ms. M to transfer over 8 billion VND to handle the matter, but she failed to do so.
Believing that Ms. Dung's actions showed signs of fraud and misappropriation of property, the police initiated legal proceedings and temporarily detained her for investigation.
