Real estate investment fraud, hot girl embezzled nearly 18 billion VND
Disguised as a real estate broker, Le Thi Nguyet provided false information to borrow money or call for investment capital to attract many people to join. After many victims trusted her and contributed nearly 18 billion VND, Nguyet appropriated it for personal use.
On July 18, the Office of the Investigation Police Agency of Ha Tinh Province Police announced that the unit has just issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused, and temporarily detain Le Thi Nguyet (born 2002), residing in Duc Thuan Ward, Hong Linh Town (old), now Bac Hong Linh Ward, Ha Tinh Province for the crime of "Fraudulent appropriation of property".
Previously, the Office of the Provincial Police Investigation Agency received a petition from a number of victims residing in Bac Hong Linh Ward, Ha Tinh Province, accusing Le Thi Nguyet of fraud and appropriation of money by defrauding investors into contributing capital to invest in real estate.

Upon receiving the information, the Office of the Criminal Investigation Agency collected initial documents and coordinated with the Bac Hong Linh Ward Police to obtain information related to Le Thi Nguyet. Through professional measures, the Investigation Agency determined that Le Thi Nguyet was a real estate broker, had recently suffered business losses, so she had defrauded money from many people in and outside the province, and was often absent from the locality.
Based on the collected records and documents, the Investigation Agency summoned Le Thi Nguyet for questioning and the subject admitted her crime.
Accordingly, from 2020 to present, Le Thi Nguyet has been a real estate broker but has suffered losses and gone bankrupt. To have money to pay off her debt, Nguyet came up with the idea of defrauding others by borrowing money or calling for capital contributions to invest in real estate.

The subject gave false information to the victims about some plots of land that had been purchased but Nguyet lacked the deposit or land purchase money and called on the victims to join the investment, promising to receive high profits in a short time, thereby making the victims trust and contribute money. After appropriating the victims' money, Nguyet used it to pay off previous loans.
As a result of the initial investigation, the Office of the Provincial Police Department of Investigation clarified that from December 2024 to April 2025, Le Thi Nguyet committed fraud and appropriated property of 11 victims in Ha Tinh province, with a total amount of more than 17.9 billion VND.
Based on the investigation documents, the Investigation Agency has issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused, and temporarily detain Le Thi Nguyet for the crime of "Fraudulent appropriation of property", according to the provisions of Article 174 of the Penal Code.
Currently, the case is being further investigated by the authorities.
