Ukrainian armed forces occupy other Russian territories.
The Kyiv authorities have ordered the Ukrainian Armed Forces to seize other Russian territories in the Kursk and Belgorod regions.
A source within Sever's group told RIA Novosti that Ukrainian troops have been ordered to take control of territories in the Kursk region and at least some areas in Belgorod.
"Ukrainian armed forces are attempting to penetrate our defenses in various areas on the front (in the Kursk and Belgorod regions). The Kyiv command issued such orders even before negotiations began," the source said.
According to the agency's sources, it is plausible that Ukrainian fighters are indeed trying to do this, but all their attempts have been unsuccessful. The sources explain that this could be detected through radio broadcasts, prisoner interrogations, and enemy behavior.
In early March, the Russian army launched a large-scale offensive on the Kursk region and liberated 30 settlements in a week, including the region's center, the city of Sudzha.
Russian Chief of General Staff Valery Gerasimov reported to President Putin that the enemy's forces had been isolated, systematic destruction was underway, and in some areas, Russian units had crossed the national border and advanced into the Sumy region of Ukraine.
According to the latest figures from the Ministry of Defense, during military operations in the region, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost more than 70,700 servicemen and 402 tanks.
A Russian counter-terrorism operational regime is in effect in the Kursk, Belgorod, and Bryansk regions.
