Attending the Gala Night were comrade Pham Thi Hong Toan - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Secretary of Cua Lo Town Party Committee; town leaders; Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Heroes of the People's Armed Forces, policy families and a large number of people and tourists from all over.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, comrade Doan Tien Dung - Deputy Secretary of the Town Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Cua Lo town stated: Through the resistance wars against foreign invaders, national liberation, building and defending the Fatherland and fulfilling international obligations, Cua Lo town has 780 martyrs, 710 relatives of martyrs; 735 wounded and sick soldiers; 6,100 people who contributed to the revolution, revolutionary activists, resistance activists who were imprisoned by the enemy. In particular, the town has 57 mothers who were awarded and posthumously awarded the honorary title of the State "Heroic Vietnamese Mother".
On the occasion of the 76th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, the Town Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Fatherland Front Committee of Cua Lo town organized a Lantern Festival at Van Loc Temple, on the banks of the Cam River, a National Historical Site, where Thai Uy Quan Cong Nguyen Su Hoi was worshiped, a talented general who made great contributions to the country's restoration in the 15th century.
This is an activity to pay tribute to generations of fathers and brothers - the outstanding children of the homeland and country who heroically sacrificed to protect the Fatherland. It is a message to today's young generation to live in a way that is worthy of the great contributions of the fathers and brothers to build the homeland and country to become more and more decent and beautiful.
This is also an opportunity to further promote the movement of gratitude; honor and encourage the spirit of dedication towards Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Heroes of the People's Armed Forces, wounded and sick soldiers, relatives of martyrs, and people with meritorious services to the revolution.
Lanterns are symbols of good light, praying for a year of favorable weather and wind. People will live a prosperous and comfortable life. Lanterns are lit to honor the spiritual and cultural values of Vietnamese people on major holidays.Pray for national peace and prosperity, pray for the dead to rest in peace.
Each lamp is a light that erases all suffering to together build a beautiful and prosperous country, towards a democratic, fair and civilized society.
After the opening speech was an art program commemorating the 76th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day and the ceremony of releasing flower lanterns on the Cam River.
