"However, since I've only ever acted in romantic films before, and detective films aren't my forte, I was quite hesitant and worried when I received the script, wondering if I could handle this new genre. But the more I read the script, the more captivated I became, fueling my curiosity and making me want to give it a try," the actress shared.
What worried Thu Trang the most was that the character Hoa has a very quick and intelligent mind, clearly reflected in her eyes. She said that she had to train quite hard to achieve that. During filming, director Bui Quoc Viet and cinematographer Do Trung Kien had to correct Thu Trang a lot. There were days when she would sit in front of the mirror all night practicing her eye movements and watching many action and crime-solving films to learn.

The new character has short hair, wears glasses, dresses casually, and often wears a baseball cap. To suit the character, Luong Thu Trang proactively lost weight, going from 53 to 46 kg to create a lively and energetic image for the character Hoa. Besides adjusting her diet, insufficient sleep and the demanding schedule while filming "Mirror Mask" also contributed to Luong Thu Trang's rapid weight loss.
The actress confessed that during the filming process, from start to finish, there were times when she felt truly exhausted and worn out. She considered it the most demanding film she had ever made. The work schedule was intense, and the crime drama genre inevitably involved dangerous scenes and treacherous locations. Furthermore, Luong Thu Trang didn't use a stunt double, so the number of bruises and injuries on her body was almost countless.

Thu Trang recounted that there were days when the film crew shot through the night until sunrise at the construction site. Everyone in the crew worked very hard and was exhausted. Filming took place during a time of complex pandemic situations, so travel and location restrictions were in place. However, it was also a memorable time for the actress, "there were happy moments and sad moments, but everyone was always there for each other, encouraging each other to complete each difficult scene, rain or shine."

Luong Thu Trang was born in 1990 in Tuyen Quang. She graduated from Hanoi College of Arts and then joined the Youth Theatre. Four years since making her debut in television, Luong Thu Trang has continuously made her mark in the projects she has participated in, from emotionally complex roles such as Cuc in "Girls in the City," teacher Hoa in "Spring Remains," especially the role of Minh in "Sunflower Against the Sun," and currently Hoa in "Mirror Mask."
Many people expressed regret that the actress came to the small screen a little late. But Thu Trang believes that "flowers only bloom when the time is right." Before that, she had personal goals to strive for and dedicated time to the stage. The lead actress of "Mirror Mask" also affirmed that without the stage, she would not have had the television roles that have left such a lasting impression on viewers as she has today.
