“However, because I have only participated in romantic films up to now, detective films are not my strong point, so when I received the script I was quite shy and worried, not knowing if I could do it with this new material. But the more I read the script, the more I was drawn in, the more my curiosity was piqued and I wanted to try it,” the actress shared.
What worries Thu Trang the most is that the character Hoa has a very quick and intelligent mind, which is clearly shown in her eyes. She said that she had to practice quite hard to achieve that. During the filming, director Bui Quoc Viet and DOP Do Trung Kien also had to correct Thu Trang a lot. There were days when she had to sit in front of the mirror all night and watch a lot of action and crime movies to learn.

The actress felt quite pressured when taking on the role of Hoa because before that she only specialized in romantic films. |
The new character has short hair, wears glasses, dresses in a dusty way and often wears a baseball cap. To fit the character, Luong Thu Trang actively lost weight from 53 to 46 kg to build a lively and dynamic image for the character Hoa. In addition to adjusting her diet, not getting enough sleep and the difficult schedule when filming “Mirror Mask” are also the reasons why Luong Thu Trang lost weight quickly.
The actress confided that during the filming process until the end, there were times when she felt really tired and exhausted. It can be said that this is the most difficult film she has ever made. The work schedule is tight, and the crime film genre cannot avoid dangerous scenes and dangerous settings. Luong Thu Trang did not have a stunt double, so the bruises on her body were almost "countless".

Thu Trang said that there were days when the crew filmed all night until sunrise at a construction site. All the crew members were very hard-working and tired. The film was filmed during a complicated epidemic period, so travel and setting were limited. However, it was also a memorable time for the actress, "there was joy and sadness, but everyone was always there for each other, encouraging each other to perform each difficult scene, rain or shine."

Coming to acting quite late but the actress has achieved quite a lot of success. |
Luong Thu Trang was born in 1990 in Tuyen Quang. She graduated from Hanoi College of Arts, then joined the Youth Theater. Four years since her debut in television dramas, Luong Thu Trang has continuously left her mark in the projects she has participated in, from the emotional roles of Cuc in “The Girls in the City”, teacher Hoa in “Spring Stays”, especially the role of Minh in “Sunflower Against the Sun” and currently Hoa in “Mirror Mask”.
Many people expressed regret that the actress came to the small screen a bit late. But Thu Trang believes that "the flower must have enough fate to bloom". Before that, she had personal goals that she had to strive for and spend time on the stage. The female lead of "Mirror Mask" also affirmed that if there was no stage, she would not have had the television roles that left such a lasting impression on the audience like today.
