Luu Thien Huong becomes music director of "X-Factor" season 2

Musician Luu Thien Huong will replace musician Phuong Uyen as music director for “X-Factor” season 2.

The first season of “X-Factor” in Vietnam has ended with Giang Hong Ngoc as the champion. Soon, the show will return to the audience to search for talented solo singers and music groups.

The second season of “The X Factor” will still divide the contestants into 4 groups: Male contestants from 16 to 25 years old, female contestants from 16 to 25 years old, male and female contestants from 25 years old and up and singing groups over 16 years old. On the judging panel, there is still no official information about the artists who will take on this role. In the first season, there were big names in the Vietnamese music industry: Ho Ngoc Ha, Dam Vinh Hung, Ho Quynh Huong and Duong Khac Linh. They all have great influence and represent different musical styles.

In addition, musician Luu Thien Huong will replace musician Phuong Uyen as Music Director of “The X Factor” season 2. In addition to being famous as a musician and winning many awards, Luu Thien Huong is also known as a judge of many music competitions such as: “Ho Chi Minh City Television Singing Star”, “Perfect Couple”, “Do Re Mi”, “Vietnamese Star”, member of the Judging Council of the Vietnamese Song program... In particular, she has taken on the role of Music Director in the program “The Voice Kids” in seasons 2 and 3, and a judge of the competition “The Remix – Harmony of Light”.

Currently, Luu Thien Huong is busy preparing for the preliminary audition schedule of the X-Factor program in the regions as a judge. The female musician said: 'X-Factor is a long-term playground for musical talents across the country, especially a great opportunity for music groups. I am really looking forward to listening and searching for outstanding musical personalities'.

Luu Thien Huong also revealed that she will give the Champion of "X-Factor 2016" a total of 10 songs from her first CD right after the competition ends.

Currently, “The X Factor” is starting to recruit students in major areas across the country. The first preliminary round will take place from November 13 to November 16 in Hanoi. Next, the program will recruit students in Da Nang (November 18 to November 19), Can Tho (November 24 to November 25) and finally Ho Chi Minh City (December 1 to December 2).
