Why should you turn your car out when parking?
Turning your car out when parking in a garage or parking lot is considered safe and easy to monitor.
In parking lots, most cars turn their heads outward, towards the entrance or exit. According to experts, this is not simply a habit of drivers but there are many reasons.
Fast and safe departure
When starting off, if the car has turned out, it will be very convenient, just go straight and turn in the direction you need to go, both safe and time-saving. This is also the reason why ambulances, fire trucks... always park with their heads turned out.
Parking is easier
When parking in tight spaces or perpendicular parking, backing up is the easiest way to get into a space. In underground parking garages, it can be even more difficult to get into a space if the space is sandwiched between two other cars.
Easy to observe
Turning the front of the car outward when parking in a parking lot is said to help the driver see better, thereby making it safer to operate than turning the front of the car inward.

In the parking lot, the space between two cars is quite narrow. If the car is not equipped with a 360 camera system or collision warning sensor, it is difficult for the driver to estimate the distance.
But with basic skills of reversing into a parking space, even without a camera or sensor system, drivers can still easily observe and estimate the distance by looking at the rearview mirror.
Create clear traffic corridors
Due to the specific design of cars, the front of the car is often longer than the rear, especially SUV or MPV models. If parked with the front facing in and the rear facing out, the car will take up a lot of space, leading to a narrow space, obstructing the view of other cars.
Easy to rescue in case of accident
Most of the current internal combustion engine cars have the engine compartment and battery in the front. Therefore, in case of a problem in the engine compartment or the battery runs out of power... turning the car around will be more convenient for rescue and repair.
Anti mouse
Mice love to get into the engine compartment to make nests and chew on the electrical wires on cars. If you park your car facing out, the engine compartment is closer to the road, making it harder for mice to get into the engine compartment than if you park your car facing in.
